Dr. Ellisor is a well-established optometrist and eye disease specialist. He has been committed to improving the eye care industry since 1985. Learn more below.

Dr. Ellisor began practicing in the Humble/Kingwood area in 1985. He specializes in family optometry care, contact lenses, LASIK co-management, and management/treatment of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye disease, myopia management, cataracts, etc. He is therapeutically certified and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

Dr. Ellisor is the founder of Vision Source and has served as its President/CEO and Chairman of the Board since its inception on May 1, 1991, until 2016, and continues today as a board member and consultant for the organization. Dr. Ellisor has served on numerous advisory panels for eye care industry organizations and has received several awards and honors for the work he has done in the profession. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Association.

Dr. Ellisor attended Stephen F. Austin University from 1976-79 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1984.

Dr. Danz is a therapeutic optometrist who specializes in low vision, laser vision correction, and more. Get to know him below.

Dr. Danz graduated from The University of Houston College of Optometry. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. He received Honors for his outstanding clinical work at The University of Houston and has had externships in both primary care optometry and ophthalmology.

Dr. Danz is a therapeutic optometrist with training in pediatrics, low vision, contact lenses, laser vision correction, and disease management. He is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Danz has lived in Kingwood since 1994.

Dr. Acosta is passionate about pediatrics, ocular pathology, and neurophthalmology. Get to know her below.

Dr. Acosta received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Houston. She then went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. She completed her externship training at the Eye Center of Texas, Good Neighbor Health Center, the San Jose Clinic, and The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research.

Dr. Acosta has received training in contact lenses, pediatrics, ocular pathology, low vision, and neurophthalmology. She participated in a research fellowship with the National Eye Institute, taught pre-optometry students in the Texas Optometry Careers Opportunity Program, and volunteered in vision screenings with Prevent Blindness. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Wade Ellisor has lived in Kingwood his entire life. He is a graduate of Kingwood High School, earning his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Texas – San Antonio, and then his doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. His residencies in Optometry School included Cedar Springs Eye Care Clinic in Dallas, the University of Houston College of Optometry in-house clinic, and the Northeastern State University College of Optometry Clinic program in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Dr. Ellisor is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Wade Ellisor is excited to join his father, Dr. Glenn Ellisor, in the practice.

Dr. Erin Ellisor was born and raised in Kingwood. She is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Human genetics biotechnology at the University of Texas in 2014. She then obtained her doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2018. Her internships in Optometry School included Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, the University of Houston College of Optometry in-house clinic, and the Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Richmond, TX.

Dr. Ellisor is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Erin Ellisor enjoys practicing alongside her father, Dr. Glenn Ellisor, and her brother, Dr. Wade Ellisor.

Dr. Catherine Khalaf was born and raised in Kingwood, Texas and graduated from Kingwood High School in 2016.

She attended the University of Houston where she majored in Public Health and double minored in Biology and Medicine and Society through the Honors College. Dr. Khalaf completed an internship at Vision Source Kingwood prior to graduating in 2020 with her B.S. in Public Health.

She received her Doctorate at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2024 after completing internships at McCormick Vision Source in Austin, Texas, San Jose Clinic in Houston, Texas, and University of Houston College of Optometry in-house clinic specializing in Dry Eye Disease, Low Vision, and Ocular Diseases.

Dr. Khalaf is excited to be back at Vision Source Kingwood to serve her community.
