What are my options for lenses?

There are many eyeglass lens options available. Your eye care provider will take your lifestyle and vision correction needs into consideration when helping you select the right lenses for your eyes.

Here are some of the most common eyeglass lens types:

• Transition lenses – Change from clear indoors to dark outdoors. Block 100% of UV rays. Blue-violet light filtering. Choose from a wide range of colors.

• Polarized lenses – Xperio UV™ polarized prescription sun lenses provide the kind of protection your eyes deserve. Even in the brightest sunlight, protect your eyes from glare and harmful UV rays with maximum UV protection. Xperio UV lenses do more than protect - they also provide excellent color perception for a vibrant view of the world. They're durable, scratch-resistant, and easy to clean, so the protection never stops.

• Poly and Hi-Index lenses – Polycarbonate lenses are made from a thermoplastic that is thin, lightweight, and impact-resistant. Hi-Index lenses come in two different materials, 1.67 and 1.74. 1.67 index lenses are a type of lens material that is thinner than Polycarbonate, making them a good choice for patients with strong prescriptions. 1.74 index lenses are the thinnest and lightest lenses available and are a good choice for patients with strong prescriptions.

• Anti-glare lenses – Crizal® lenses let you live in total clarity- free from glare, scratches, and smudges. Moisture and dirt simply wipe away so you can enjoy everything around you with a clear view, day or night.
